Apparently, in addition to using this blog for strictly design-related tidbits, I’ll be sharing and commenting on various music vids I encounter and enjoy.  I’m terribly picky when it comes to things such as AMVs, so when I find one that I really love I know it’s a winner.  In this case, I’m sharing a Suikoden AMV  “Beyond Blue Horizons.”I’m not usually a fan of AMVs that splice together multiple styles of animation (in this case, drawn and 3d), but I feel like this AMV does a good job of cohesively blending the two into something very pleasing.  It also uses flashy effects and transitions more than I usually appreciate, but once again, it pulls it off.  This AMV takes a really appropriate song for the series and backs it up with visuals.  Not only this, but the timing in this AMV — and timing is something I’m really picky about — is fantastic.  It’s probably what brings the video together so well.If you have the time, you should definitely check this out.
